Heavy rain and muddy roads did not stop people in Barangay Mabolo in visiting their love ones’ graves. This only shows our strong family ties as Filipinos. The All Soul’s Day this year which has a very unlikely uncommon to be written down has five ones; 11/1/11 also shows a crowdie but peaceful environment in the cemetery of Barrio Luz or the St. Joseph the Patriarch Memorial Park. An estimated number of more than a thousand visitors flocked in the cemetery to commemorate All Soul’s Day. Candles and flowers can be found on graves as offerings for those who already passed away.
The organized action plans for Barrio Luz Cemetery which was planned by the St. Joseph the Patriarch Parish paid off. There were no reported crimes, the flow of traffic was not bad and house rules were strictly implemented. Drinking is strongly prohibited and smoking as well. Everything goes according to plan.

The police are stationed on the gates of the cemetery and thoroughly check you up; an emergency station booth has been set up by the city government; route safety marshals are visible and a team of electricians are positioned in place ready to serve. In short, public service by church and government groups has served the public well.
Barangay Mabolo is hand in hand and helping each other for the year’s All Soul’s Day Celebration for the church of Christ. We hope than in the coming years it would still be as peaceful as this one , and everybody deserves a pat on the back for a job well done. More Pictures here.
