Think before you click! Here comes Republic Act No. 10175

If you have been on the web for years and enjoys expressing yourself specially on the social networking sites. It might be time to hold your horses and think before you click! It may not be an easy thing to do for those who are regulars in FB or twitter, the line, "Prevention is better than cure" may be a clever move as there is already a Cyber Law in the Philippines.

The  Republic Act No. 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 which has been filed last July 25, 2011  has passed the house of representatives and the senate and  approved by its corresponding leaders, Speaker of house of representative Feliciano Belmonte Jr. and Senate president Juan Ponce Enrile. President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino completed the recipe by approving it last September 12, 2012.

The new Republic Act,  R.A. No. 10175 would take effect on October 3, 2012.  With perpetrators be sued for civil and criminal charges with fines ranging from 50,000 pesos to 10 million pesos.
